Summary

General laborers are workers who take up various supporting tasks in warehouses, construction sites or other settings such as manufacturing factories. According to this general laborer definition, these workers may have an important assisting role in manufacturing Dunnage using corrugated cardboard.

We're a foam manufacturing plant that caters to our clients with a wide range of packaging needs. As a production associate you will be responsible for various levels of production and learning how to operate the necessary machines in order to successfully achieve the task at hand.

Roles & Responsibilities

Follow safety guidelines and instructions
Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Be willing to work in a team environment helping team members to accomplish daily production demands
Handle and transport materials such as glue and corrugated cardboard during the manufacturing of Dunnage
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
Help with setting up work areas as needed per supervisor’s direction

Minimum Qualifications

Commitment to safety rules
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting medium heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination
Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
Communication and teamwork skills
Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
