Systems Administrator

We are currently looking for an experienced Systems / Network Administrator to join our team in the Central Ohio Region in providing extraordinary service to our membership, community and to the team.
The Systems / Network Administrator is responsible for providing end users with LAN, Intranet and host based application support, assists with the maintenance and operation of a LAN/WAN environment, and telecommunication operational support. This position will also be responsible for managing Credit Union wide high-level projects. These projects will range from coordinating the physical move of a department to the research, documentation and installation of a software package. The Network Administrator is also responsible for maintaining Telhio systems (hardware and software).
  • Manage switches ensuring firmware is updated in a timely manner, configuration is backed up, port security is set where applicable
  • Manage routers ensuring firmware is updated in a timely manner, configuration is backed up, and updating routes as needed
  • Manage hardware life cycle, replacing old or defective equipment and ensure that critical equipment is protected by maintenance agreements
  • Manage and maintain communication links for WAN connectivity for all branches and data center
  • Maintain users and configuration to ensure that all users are able make calls
  • Training for end users and IT staff on how certain aspects of the phone system work
  • Ensure that all critical systems are backed up on a regular and ongoing basis
  • Audit systems, users and facilities to ensure that IT Security policies are being followed
  • New Product Rollout / Project Delivery
  • New Branch Deployment: Participate in building planning sessions to look out for changes that need to be made for systems to operate effectively
  • Coordinate, purchase/obtain and configure all required equipment for new site
  • Work with third party vendors to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • System and Data Security: Insures that all security procedures are followed to guarantee the safety of Telhio information and resources
  • Maintain Server Infrastructure
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a network or systems administrator
  • Experience in Cisco Networking
  • CCNA Preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related discipline is preferred or equivalent experience and education
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as be able to work within an experienced team
  • Must be Detail Oriented
  • Must have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be willing to be on Call, occasionally work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Time Management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Telhio applicants must be able to pass a background check including: Credit, Drug Screen, Bondability, & Criminal Background
  • Must have a valid/unexpired driver's license
