We are seeking a Project Manager to join the SOUTHCOM Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization contract at the USSOUTCOM headquarters in Miami, FL.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of contract program goals and objectives. The Project Manager ensures that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints, and will routinely interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
Leads the team in developing new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the project/family.
Has budget accountability for work area or manages elements of the budget.
Deals with complex issues and problems and gathers information and analysis to understand and successfully resolve.
Will typically oversee multiple small projects and/or multiple aspects of overall programs.
Communicates with parties within and outside of own area, to include external constituents.
Manages a large team of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Typically has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with manager review and approval.
Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project or program teams in one family.
Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the function. Possesses advanced knowledge and skills within one or more of the following technical or professional disciplines:
IT Systems Administration
Audio Visual Integration\Engineering
Military\Federal Agency Services
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years relevant experience (more without bachelor’s degree)
ITIL and/or PMI certifications
Relevant technical certifications (i.e. Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) Preferred
Current Security+ certification
Minimum Secret security clearance
