Workday Reporting Project Lead Business Analyst

The Workday Reporting Project Lead Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering Workday report/dashboard requirements from the business, creating relevant documentation, identifying opportunities to improve data quality and report optimization, and ensuring that the solution the Reporting Writers create meets client expectations. This role also manages the Reporting Intake process including project management and resource allocation.
Responsibilities:
Run and manage the Intake process for new reports and report enhancements including maintaining SLAs
Conduct sessions with customers to analyze business requirements and and translate them into Workday report requirements
Apply best practices and Workday product knowledge, identify strategies, risks, and roadmap to meet current and future reporting and analytics requirements
Ensure comprehensive scope document is in place at the start of the project, and continuously review the scope document as the project progresses and manage changes of scope effectively; identify project risk items during all phases and provide mitigation responses
Support training development and change management strategies through "user" mentorship
Develop and maintain a data dictionary
Manage one or multiple Workday projects across varying business and functional units, and lead decision-making processes required to move projects along to completion
Allocate duties and responsibilities of the team, closely monitoring and driving the progression for on-time and on-budget implementation
Establish and monitor project plans, including the setting of milestones and deadlines, in consultation with business users, in order to manage the lifecycle and operational aspects of projects (e.g., resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, and dependencies)
Prepare status reports and engage with stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution are aligned with defined objective
What you bring:
Workday Data and Analytics experience:
Must have 3+ years’ experience leading large-scale Workday HCM implementations with emphasis on Workday HCM Core Data, Security, and Reporting Design Fundamentals
Knowledge of the Workday object-oriented data model, EIBs, data sources, primary business objects, creating/maintaining calculated fields, and worklets
In-Depth experience gathering requirements for complex Custom Reports/ Dashboards/ Discovery Boards, data visualization and analytics for business users
Working knowledge of Workday Reporting using BIRT, dashboards, embedded analytics, EIB’s, ELT, and Composite Reporting
Preferred Workday Certified Report Writer
Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Reporting and Analytics, Security and Data governance, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access
Strong subject matter expertise on Workday HR Standard Reporting and Analytics best practices
Scrum Master/Project Management skills preferred related to Workday reporting
Education & Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Information Systems or related field
3+ years of Workday HR application requirements gathering and design, including process mapping and gap analysis
3+ years prior consulting experience
Experience managing projects, gathering requirements, designing, testing, and deploying solutions to meet customer requirement
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate complex messages and requirements
Collaborative, detail oriented with superior analytical, problem solving, pragmatism and organization skills
Ability to extrapolate and tell a story with data
Comfort with ambiguity
Hight attention to detail
Passion for exceptional customer service
