 How will you make an impact?

Our technicians employ excellent client service and a thorough understanding of our portfolio of services to exceed expectations by performing contracted services at the highest level of quality and uncovering new needs when possible. The Calibration technician will work as a member in our Metrology lab to ensure that the equipment utilized in TSS services are up to regulatory standards. The basic function of the Calibration Technician is to assist with and perform equipment calibration and maintenance, primarily in-house, for both internal (TSS) and external customers, including administrative tasks required for the operation of the calibration laboratory and maintenance of equipment records.


 What will you do? 

  • Performs in-house calibrations, diagnostics, and maintenance of equipment following internal and/or client-specific policies and procedures. (temperature, pressure, dimensional, airspeed, mass, etc.)
  • Accurate and timely completion of tasks with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, standard work instructions, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies.
  • Prepare, generate and/or revise calibration reports and certificates.
  • Interface with nationwide regional operation teams to discuss customer calibration needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


How will you get here?

Education and Experience

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
  • Requires One (1) year minimum of mechanical and/or electrical experience. Calibration and/or Metrology experience preferred.
  • Requires One (1) year minimum of customer service experience.
  • A combination of education, training and related experience may meet requirements.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new services.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision by employing effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math including geometry and algebra.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
