Accounting Clerk

TechOp is seeking eager motivated entry level Accounting Clerks to work alongside Government finance professionals. Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. As an Accounting Clerk within our team you will:

• Support general financial and accounting transactions; payment processing
• Review, analyze, balance, classify, and reconcile transactions and financial records
• Provide accurate financial reports
• Assist with processing grants, accounting reclassification requests, and suspense monitoring
• Prepare monthly reporting and complete a wide variety of complex tasks, reports and projects
• Assist with vendor payment processing
• Examining and verifying accounting records; research abnormal balances

Requirements

• Associates degree or 3 years Accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly in Excel; the ability to perform complex functions and
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat
• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to meet all security eligibility requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive and professional attitude
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
