Duties:
- We’re seeking a Communications / Creative Writer to help within our Co-worker Communications (Internal Communications) Department.
- The writer will work closely with the Manager of Co-worker Communications, and members of the broader communications team, to assist in the drafting, editing, and distribution of employee-facing communications.
- Members of the Co-worker Communications team are tasked with finding innovative and meaningful ways to drive Culture, employee engagement, employee empowerment, and understanding of Company strategy, priorities, and changes through messaging to the organization.
- The Co-worker Communications team also contributes to and maintains the primary internal communication channels (e.g., internal intranet, all employee emails).
Primary responsibilities include:
- Writer/editor responsible for drafting and editing messages for our internal intranet (Connect) and email.
- Provides editing & reviews of messages for other team members or clients.
- Ensures consistent application of corporate identity standards across all communications.
- Executes writing components of a variety of communications campaigns, including awareness/policy communications, scripting/talking points for videos, informative blogs, event promotions and more.
Skills Required:
- 2+ years’ work experience in writing/editing, including experience with professional and/or corporate communications.
- Superb creative writing skills and a great sense for conveying emotion through written word.
- High level of professionalism through multiple communication channels including verbal, instant messaging, and email.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
- Previous experience with SharePoint platform is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing/Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or similar) or equivalent experience.
