Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic Director of Marketing to join our team of experts. The Director of Marketing will help manage all aspects of marketing for Tayloe/Gray’s clients including advertising, social media, search engines, websites and landing pages, email marketing, broadcast/CTV etc.

 

In addition to being the lead on overall marketing strategy development, you will oversee and manage our team of digital strategists on campaign development and optimization, to assist in reaching our clients overarching business goals.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in building, managing and optimizing online marketing campaigns via various channels to generate traffic, brand awareness and converting leads. They should be highly interested and desire to stay on top of the latest trends in B2C and B2B industries.

The ideal candidate should be well versed in presenting to clients to review performance, trends and metrics. Experience to work with clients to counsel, coach, and advise on "result-driven" marketing strategies is required. Our clients need to get the "right advice” and strategic guidance from us, and our team must be able to deliver it—straightforward, bold and direct.

Specifically, this position is responsible for giving our clients a truly world-class marketing experience. This might mean deeper analytics, providing unsolicited recommendations and advice, and talking clients through the “whys” behind their marketing tactics in clear, easily understandable terms. The DMS’ job is to guide clients, as their marketing "consultant" on the implementation of their complete strategy as well as to guide and manage the T/G team to do so.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the digital marketing team leading strategy; planning, execution refinement and analysis, by leveraging consumer and commercial insights.

  • Define, create, and manage marketing acquisition efforts including PPC, display advertising, SEO, website, paid social and more.

  • Manage the day-to-day execution, optimization and reporting of online marketing campaigns.

  • Evaluate end-to-end customer experiences across multiple channels and customer touch points and develop creative and innovative solutions for new customer acquisition.

  • Experience and a deep understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ad Words

  • Experience and a deep understanding of Facebook Business Manager, along with Facebook Ad Accounts for advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

  • Experience managing email marketing platforms & strategizing end-to-end email campaigns (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, etc.).

  • Lead experience testing and optimization throughout the paid funnel with attention to ad creative, ad placement, and landing page experience.

  • Strategize, design and execute A/B testing campaigns and report results.

  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to ensure channel acquisition forecasts meet demand plans.

  • Manage landing page development, ad creation, and content creation by partnering closely with creative and product teams.

  • Experience with CMS platforms (preferably WordPress).

  • Experience and understanding of SEM best practices and content marketing.

  • Experience using project management tools (Basecamp, Trello, Jira, etc.).

 

The key to being successful in this position is juggling a variety of tasks, ensuring the marketing tactics deliver the expected results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or similar analytical field of study

  • 5-10 years experience in a fast-paced agency or B2C environment

  • At least 5-10 years of experience in performance marketing or digital advertising roles

  • At least 5-years management experience

  • Must have prior experience in handling minimum of $50K/month in ad spend

  • Proven ability to conceive and implement successful marketing campaigns holistically including channel, ad creatives, landing pages, purchase experience, ad performance and customer lifetime value analysis

  • Deep knowledge of website analytics and ad serving tools, including Google Adwords

  • Experience in complex project management and execution skills, as well as working in a “team” environment

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement
