Credit Analyst I/II at Taycor Financial
Job Summary:
Our Credit Department is essential to the success of our Equipment Finance sales team. The Credit Department’s primary focus is determining the creditworthiness of loan applicants while assessing potential risks. This is done by a thorough process of gathering, verifying, and reviewing all necessary underwriting features and financial information pertaining to each applicant. Using this information, best placement for the applicant is determined, whether that be on the internal line or syndication to lender partners.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Research and organize all pertinent information as customers apply for credit and conduct a thorough, in-depth analysis of new equipment finance requests.
- Underwrite applicants based on credit parameters of different lines.
- Validate application data and make risk-based credit decisions.
- Provide a frontline defense to fraud detection.
- Approve/decline transactions within your authority limits and make recommendations to others when advanced approval is needed.
- Assign pricing rates based on underwriting and risk assessment.
- Syndicate transactions to external lenders as necessary.
- Ability to multitask between many required job functions while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and productivity.
- Evaluate and research vendors and assets for each approved transaction.
- Communicate timely and clearly with all parties as to requirements, statuses, etc.
- Follow necessary compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in an fast paced environment that is deadline driven.
- Possesses excellent communication skills to provide the highest levels of information disbursement in a clear and timely manner with vendors, customers, internal departments, and lenders
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport, cooperation and establish strong relationships within the company and externally.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete a multitude of tasks.
- Ability to deploy critical thinking in a quick manner to progress files quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
College Degree and at least two years related experience required or five years plus related industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $58,000 - $72,000 salary range
