Regional Sales Executive

We are currently seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing and developing an established book of business to further cultivate and grow company revenue through up selling our other services.

Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
  • Analyze current customer data to identify areas of improvement
  • Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting
  • Report on performance
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
  • Build and form new partnerships with potential clients
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field -minimum 3 years
  • Experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to build rapport with clients

The right candidate will be offered a competitive base salary along with a generous commission structure that is uncapped and residual. We also offer paid time off, 401K match up to 4%, and health insurance paid 100% by the employer.

Target Freight Management was started on January 5, 2009, in the South Park suburb of Pittsburgh, a stone’s throw from our current headquarters on Brownsville Road. Our President and Founder Mike Wagner had already worked in the freight and shipping industry for about 10 years. He saw an opportunity to build something different in the field he loved and enjoyed great success. He worked 80-hour weeks at the beginning trying to land that first account. He finally did and then they just kept coming. In fact, in the first year of eligibility, Target Freight Management was named the Fastest Growing Company in the region by the Pittsburgh Business Times. His first year saw revenue at around $500,000 and by the third year it was over $18 million, showing growth of around 2,300%. TFM has been on the list every year since 2012. In 2017, TFM Truckload finished in the #2 spot in the region with 1,130% growth. “The growth is a double-edged sword because you want to grow as fast as possible, but then at the same time, you must be able to handle it from an operations standpoint,” said Wagner. “I was very focused on the customer experience and I don’t want anybody to look at my company in a negative manner because we couldn’t deliver on something that we promised. So we’re very careful before we promise or we guarantee our customers. I want to make sure that we can hit those metrics and not paint a rosy picture that’s not actually realistic.” The approach now is all about a few key factors: experienced staff and keeping turnover low; finding new ways to make a personal connection with the prospects and keeping the technology ahead of the others. It’s important to us to remain innovators in the field. In July of 2017, Mike Wagner was awarded a patent for the technology he imagined and pioneered.
