Inside Sales Representative- define specific products and applications. Expected to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on products and deliver training programs. Use Skype for Business to conduct day-to-day business with coworkers, channel partners, and end customers. Assist VP Business Development with domestic and International training, sales and trade show activities. Make cold calls to customers and agencies to sell the product recertification/refurbishment programs. Become familiar with all entire product line and be prepared to discuss product form, fit, function, interface and pricing with distributors and large strategic OEM partners. Provide input into existing CRM (Customer Resource Management) system, and properly document sales interactions, price quotations and customer service activities. Maintain database of major sales expansion targets, domestically and internationally.
Provide in-person and webinar-based training seminars on the product suite for OEM partners, distributors, and end customers (traffic management agencies and system integrators). Write and produce relevant short training video clips to post on the company website, links from social media and YouTube. Provide product-specific sales training at distributor locations. Regional, national and international trade shows and conferences. Author and present technical papers at regional, national, and international professional industry conferences. Support Engineering Department and Product Management by conducting primary and secondary marketing research. Provide input into new product development and existing product enhancement as a member of the Product Planning and Steering Committee. Sales and customer support through in-person, telephone, email, and videoconference communications. Pre and post trade show follow-up communications with prospects, customers, and public relations with associations. Communication skills with customers and prospects. Responds to customer and prospect requirements. Customer service and support. Experience in planning logistics of national/international trade shows, training programs, webinars, and media events. Provide market sales forecasts by product line. Complete and multitask several projects. Manage inside sales staff if assigned including overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Sales management experience. Use of Conflict Monitoring and Detection devices. Experience in developing and managing domestic and international distributor networks. Ability to understand manufactured goods pricing strategies essential. Sales presentation and training experience. Superior computer skills with MS-Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, data entry skills. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
