Global Operations Strategist
San Francisco, CA (Temporarily remote during COVID)


As the company's Recruiting Learning & Development team's business matures, it is seeking an experienced operations strategist to initiate and drive the development of complex, interconnected global systems. This assignment will require significant operations strategizing, process analysis and assessment, working through a complex global team, developing and visualizing data insights - all in a global context.


Learning Operations and Content Management

  • Develops and executes against strategy for rLearn course logistics and learner experience; ensures alignment between strategy and course logistics; and measures success of learner experience
  • Systemizes supply chain management of course materials with programs and facilitators; measures course preparation for facilitator community
  • Develops learner, facilitator, and stakeholder communication strategy; optimizes preparation and attendance through programs; aligns to vision for stakeholder and learner experience; measures effectiveness of communication and optimizes across all stakeholders
  • In partnership with program owners, develops escalation pathways for facilitator, participant, and stakeholders, including coverage for direct questions
  • Develops and executes content management strategy across Learning
  • Management System (Cornerstone), Wiki, internal team tools, and other related systems; builds and rolls out cohesive content and knowledge management systems across platforms and geographies.

Communications and Project Management

  • Creates and maintains global rLearn brand and key messages, enforcing brand standards and consistency across global team
  • Develops and maintains internal global project and knowledge management systems (including but not limited to global roadmap progress tracker, team drive, and team site); measures success of internal systems
  • Assesses efficiency and effectiveness of production
  • Measures effectiveness of all team operations; proactively iterates on systems

Outsourced Workforce Planning

  • Scopes out and delegates work across outsourced teams, including (but not limited to) Learning Services, Facilities, and Events; creates and maintains specifications, runbooks, and work plans; scopes out multi-month work horizons; proactively reports against progress and independently escalates within the appropriate team.
  • Proactively translates programmatic updates to change orders and workforce plans; works across the global rLearn team to oversee change management and outsourced workforce management via change logs and change requests
  • Conducts intake meetings across rLearn and adjacent teams to delegated prioritize, and plan for outsourced work; develops use cases and workflows for outsource requests; measures quality and satisfaction of outsourced work; develops and tracks internal ticketing system to track requests and workflows
  • Drives continuous improvement of efficiency, quality, and impact of products from outsourced partners

Data Management & Reporting

  • Develops comprehensive course and demographic data systems and dashboards; reports against completion, satisfaction, and learner outcomes
  • Build and maintain use profiles and use cases for data systems; liaises with internal teams to develop and iterate on existing data structures
  • Develops rLearn global Quarterly Business Review, including identification, creation and incorporation of learning trends and data insights. Develops talking points and supporting materials.


Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years scoping out, developing, maintaining, and scaling complex, interconnected operational systems for a learning, consulting, creative, or client services group
  • 7+ years outsourced workforce planning and management for a learning, consulting, creative, or client services group
  • 7+ years content management or production experience for a learning, consulting, creative, or client services group
  • Exceptional professionalism and customer service skills; 7+ years experience successfully managing internal operations
  • 7+ years experience with operational assessment and continuous improvement for a global company
  • 7+ years experience building operational programs and systems in a global, matrixed environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Agile and exhibits a strong sense of urgency; ability to independently prioritize and report on work progress across competing priorities - for self, teammates, and outsourced workers
  • 7+ years experience managing, tracking, and completing suites of projects from start through completion in a learning, consulting, creative, or client services group
  • Experience developing and maintaining team-wide organizational and knowledge management systems in a learning, consulting, creative, or client services group
  • Experience developing communication and change management campaigns in a matrixed, global environment
  • Experience developing communication systems in a matrixed, global environment
  • Experience preparing briefs and reports for senior stakeholders
  • Experience with production roadmap management in a learning, consulting, creative, or client services group

Preferred Qualifications

  • Learning & development background, ideally in an environment using Cornerstone LMS
  • Experience working in or supporting a recruiting organization
  • Training events management
  • Experience in the tech industry


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • PMP certification, or equivalent
