Taconic Biosciences is seeking a *Strategic Account Manager to join our dedicated sales team in this remote position. This role will focus on nonprofit (Academic, Government, Foundations) accounts within the MidAtlantic territory in the U.S. which includes PA, NJ and DE. Qualified candidates will be based within the territory for this role.

*This position may be hired in as an Associate Strategic Account Manager or Strategic Account Manager, depending on qualifications.

Were looking for someone who:

  • Has minimum 1-year relevant experience and/or training field sales, with a history of customer satisfaction and achieving revenue targets, with experience selling to academic, government and other nonprofit clients preferred
  • Experience within Life Science, Biotech or other related fields
  • Has completed a bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (Life Science Degree (BS, MS, PhD) is a plus)
  • Has the ability to develop and execute a strategic plan
  • Has strong background in team selling
  • Builds lasting relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Is detail oriented and focused on achieving their goals
  • Has a bias for action
  • Has excellent communication skills

In your first year, we expect you will:

  • Achieve revenue targets and quotas as outlined in the companys operating plan
  • Interface with Taconic internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Forecast and report on business trends and situations
  • Submit reports and updates using SalesForce.com in a consistent and timely manner

Travel:

  • Frequent travel is required, generally multiple trips each month.

Physical Demands:

  • Some physical exertion is required such as long periods of standing, recurring bending and lifting,

and/or lifting of items up to 25 pounds.

Internet:

  • This role requires reliable internet service, Taconic requires a minimum speed of 200 MPS to be obtained. A stipend of $25 per pay period is provided to aid in this request. Employees who cannot or will not get improved internet service are welcome to work at a Taconic office of their choice.
