The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading shift operations and ensuring production, safety, quality, timeline and cost objectives are met. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor plans, organizes, and accomplishes short and long term goals for assigned area, monitors quantitative performance metrics, and proposes corrective actions to attain goals established by Management. As a shift leader, the Production Supervisor creates an environment where employees are coached, trained, motivated and rewarded for achieving high levels of performance. The Production Supervisor is responsible for contributing to the achievement of total customer satisfaction by providing high quality and timely service to all internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes a culture of process discipline where manufacturing processes and procedures are understood and consistently followed by team members.
  • Supervises production through effective delegation, leading shift personnel in daily operations to meet production requirements. Schedules and assigns work to regulate workflow and meet required production schedules.
  • Ensures that product quality and reliability are maintained throughout the production process.
  • Actively participates in the daily management update meetings. Develops and communicates shift performance details based on department metrics and measures.
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives with other departments including suggesting procedural changes in support of production goals and objectives.
  • Partners with Management and HR in the effective selection, training and development, and performance management of production team members.
  • Manages various employee-related activities including time and attendance, employee relations and performance management. Develops and mentors team members by providing coaching, guidance and training. Create a work environment where employee engagement and participation in improvement is expected and encouraged.
  • Working cross-departmentally, applies strong problem solving skills to resolve issues related to production and/or people management.
  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment, and communicates to management any safety hazards and issues. Position may handle hazardous waste and is required to complete required safety trainings.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of operations and key performance parameters and metrics, as well as the processes and materials used to manufacture products.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to leverage each team member's strengths, and to create a motivating team environment and culture of excellence to achieve desired results.
  • Effective communication skills used to communicate goals and inspire organizational achievement.
  • Strong customer service (internal/external) and quality mind set.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated practice of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate continuous improvement projects utilizing techniques such as 5S and Kaizen.
  • Ability to identify obstacles/issues and communicate needed resources/solutions to reach successful resolution, including guiding teams to resolve routine issues with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work 5 days a week and flexible to work weekends as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical degree preferred.
  • 4+ years' technical/manufacturing related experience. Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role required

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
