Department Processes:

A Maintenance Technician must be able to use the various tools, to include but not limited to, basic hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screw drivers, measuring devices, etc.), power tools (e.g., drills, saws, grinders, etc.), and must be able to follow technical data and instructions (e.g., operation manuals, schematics, and diagrams).


A Maintenance Technician will perform emergency repair and project work (e.g., installation or modification) on various production and facility equipment to return it to peak operational efficiency. May also perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.


Although the Maintenance Technician will be working as part of a "Team", many of the daily tasks associated with this position will require the technician to work individually. A Maintenance Technician should be able to perform the following duties with minimal assistance from a Senior Technician:

1. Must be able to dismantle devices to gain access to parts requiring inspection or repair.

2. Must be able to trouble shoot equipment systems to a level that the "root" cause(s) of failure is identified and repaired.

3. Must supply their own set of basic hand tools needed to perform the job tasks assigned (a list of required/recommended tools is available from the Maintenance Supervisor).

4. Will communicate the completion of all work performed by filling out a maintenance request or a preventative maintenance form.

5. Will communicate the status of all incomplete tasks verbally and/or via e-mail to the Maintenance Supervisor, Technician taking over the task or the Maintenance Manager.

6. Must demonstrate good housekeeping practices and adhere to all environmental, safety and health policies plans and procedures.

7. Must complete all departmental documentation neatly, completely and accurately.

8. Shall perform other related duties as required by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or other Manager as deemed required and necessary.


1. Quality, measured by effective use of materials and labor in a workmanship like manor to assure minimal repair costs.

2. Productivity, measured by the achievement of the departmental goal of limiting down time of equipment to under two hours whenever possible.

3. Safety, measured by the compliance with all safety policies/rules and by the number of accidents, incidents, and injuries.

4. Attendance, measure by the occurrences of tardies and absences.

5. Communication, measured by the effective transfer of shift events and activities to the supervisor and co-workers.

6. Documentation, measured by the completion and accuracy of all departmental paperwork.

7. Housekeeping, measured by performance against periodic audits by Maintenance Supervisor.

Minimum Qualification:

1. Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.

2. Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electro-mechanical equipment with minimal assistance of an experienced technician.

3. 3 to 5 year of industrial/commercial electro-mechanical equipment repair and/or installation using skills associated with trades such as: electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing and welding.

Physical Demands: (This job is best described by the following "Physical" work demands:)

Sedentary Work: Occasional lifting/carrying of 10 lbs. Primarily involves sitting but there is some

walking and standing.

Light Work: Occasional lifting/carrying of 20 lbs. and pushing/pulling of 50 lbs. Frequent lifting/carrying

of 10 lbs. Involves an equal amount of sitting and walking/standing.


Medium work: Occasional lifting/carrying of 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling of 100 lbs. Frequent

lifting/carrying of 25 lbs. and pushing/pulling of 50 lbs. Primarily involves walking/standing but there is

some sitting.

Heavy Work: Frequent lifting/carrying of 50 lbs. or greater and pushing/pulling of 100 lbs. or greater.

Environmental Demands: This job requires that the employee be able to work in an area with the following environmental conditions present (F = frequently (>66%), O = occasionally (33-66%), R = rarely (<33%) and N = never):

Required Certification after job start:

1. Successful completion of General Quality, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Safety, Environmental and other Training Classes as scheduled.

2. Successful completion of the following safety training courses: Lock-out/Tag-out, Electrical Safety, Respiratory Protection, Forklift Operation, Basic Safety Policies and Hazard Communication/Chemical Safety.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
