Job Description

Techtronic Industries North America, Inc., has an opening for a Group Payroll Administrator. This position reports to the Group Payroll Director and will be located at the Group Headquarters site in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing and Administration
  • Processes weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payrolls in ADP Enterprise v5 & Workday.
  • Reconciles and exports timecards from KRONOS Workforce Ready.
  • Works cross functionally to organize and process pay related changes.
  • Audits and reconciles payroll discrepancies.
  • Completes payroll and reports results to executive leadership.
  • Works with external partners on banking reconciliations, garnishments and tax filings.
  • Assists with the posting of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Reconciles and submits 401(k) and Health Savings Account funding to external vendors.
  • Answers payroll-related questions from employees.
  • Assists with administrating the company's timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Creates audit processes to improve payroll's accuracy and efficiency.
  • Delivers Ad-Hoc payroll reporting to Human Resources, Accounting, and Tax.
  • Assist is systems implementations and enhancement projects.
  • Assists with payroll related state reporting; including tax notifications, rejections and filings.
  • Sets up and maintains state and municipality tax and unemployment accounts.
  • Revises payroll policies and procedures to align with statutory & company guidelines.
  • Assists with processing imputed income, emoluments, and tax equalizations.
  • Assists with internal and external payroll audits.
  • Audits and approves quarterly Wage & Tax Resisters and year end W2s.

 

Job Requirements:

2 years' work experience in:

  • Processing payrolls in Workday or ADP Enterprise v5 or v6.
  • Reconciling and extracting timecards from KRONOS or ADP timekeeping systems.
  • Working cross-functionally to accumulate and organize payroll related changes.
  • Auditing payroll data entry, resolving discrepancies, and completing payrolls with minimal errors.
  • Assisting external partners with payroll banking reconciliation, garnishment and tax filings.
  • Supporting the reconciliation of payroll with an organization's general ledger.
  • Resolving state and municipality payroll tax delinquency notifications and rejections.
  • Setting up and maintaining multiple state tax and unemployment accounts.
  • Auditing and approving quarterly Wage & Tax Registers and year end W2s.
  • Auditing HRIS and timekeeping data and working with Human Resources to correct and reduce errors.
  • Building Ad-Hoc payroll reporting that meets Human Resources', Accounting's, and Tax's reporting needs.
  • Manipulating Microsoft Excel worksheets using functions like filtering, sums, Pivot-Tables, V-lookups, and Text-to-Columns.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance is a plus.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
