Warehouse Associate

TSR ComSupply, a local distributor of telecom equipment and fiber optic cable, is hiring a warehouse associate for a full-time roll at it's Denver, CO facility.

Looking for a warehouse professional with forklift experience - specifically in the area of loading/ unloading large, irregular freight onto flatbed trucks and into LTL trailers, and who is handy with hand tools for prep/ pack of equipment cabinets and small/ medium sized online and internal sales orders.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Assisting customers/ inside sales staff with pack & prep of local will call and outgoing orders for LTL
-Building, wrapping, sorting and transporting reels, pallets and packages of various size
-Shipping and receiving on/off LTL trucks
-Loading and unloading flatbed trailers: up to 5-10 trucks per week with reels ranging from 2,000 - 5,000 lbs
-Adhering to all safety procedures and completing further duties as assigned

-Operating cutting equipment to process wire and cable orders for shipping as necessary

You will also need to be able to:
-Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
-Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
-Use sit down forklifts, dollies, and other equipment to move product within/ outside the facility
-Detail oriented, able to multi task, with attention to detail and focus on SAFETY
-Work at a fast pace and be flexible to changing job requirements as business needs change

What is it like at TSR ComSupply Warehouse?

-Safety - Your safety is important to us and comes first in everything we do. Monthly meetings held to review safety protocols and additional topics are held at the warehouse.

-Surroundings - You will be working around moving forklifts/machines – forklifts and heavy reels

-Activity - Some activities may require standing and cutting wire in one place for long periods of time, pushing heavy reels to machines, loading and unloading FTL and flatbed trailers inside and outside, and getting dirty while working

-Temperature - Non-climate controlled warehouse environment. On hot day temperatures can reach up to 80°F in some parts of the warehouse and over 90°F in the truck trailers and containers. Facility is heated and stays at 60-degrees or more in the winter

-Noise Level - It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protective gear if needed.

-Dress code - Relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety. Steel toed or aluminum toed boots are required.

Requirements:
-At least 1 year of forklift experience is preferred. Previous wire and cable experience is a plus, but not required.
-Excellent attitude and work-ethic. We are a "drama-free" facility and expect employees to show up ready for work each day they are scheduled
-Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines.
