We are a sports based chiropractic office looking for a Medical Receptionist/Chiropractic Assistant for our busy, growing Durham and Cary, North Carolina offices. The ideal candidate for this position will be familiar with chiropractic medicine, have some insurance knowledge, as well as knowledge of healthy living and general fitness. This position requires a great deal of multi-tasking and managing patient/office flow with attention to detail.
Our team members are expected to have excellent patient relation skills, a professional attitude, to be self motivated and able to learn new things quickly and efficiently. Friendly and compassionate, the front desk receptionist will be the first person patients see and is the first person heard on the phone.
Must have own transportation, be able to commute to BOTH locations (Durham or Cary) as needed and be flexible with work hours. Serious applicants only. Starting pay will depend on qualifications and experience. Please submit a resume and cover letter if interested.
The Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Greeting and checking in patients.
Answering phones and messages.
Scheduling patient appointments.
Obtaining Paperwork and Insurance as required per visit and scanning filing correctly to patient records.
Taking and Entering Patient payments and checking balances.
Obtaining Insurance benefits online and via telephone.
Performing Passive Therapies- I.E. E-Stim, Traction, Laser Therapy, Ice, Heat.
Checking and responding to emails from staff, patients, medical billers, vendors.
Completing a daily balance sheet for all payments collected and checking ledgers to validate. Facilitating smooth operations between patient flow and Dr.'s/Therapy Room.
General Office Cleaning.
Checking mail and organizing, scanning all necessary items.
Explaining Chiropractic methods and techniques used by the doctors in our practice to new and existing patients.
Completing the Board Certification course for Chiropractic Assistants in NC- one day class study and exam (at home study prior to)
