Tri State Detectives is a licensed and insured private investigation agency. We are licensed by the Nevada Attorney General Private Investigator's Licensing Board, and have a sister agency (California Investigative Services) in California, which has been licensed for over 41 years. We are seeking responsible individuals, free of any adverse criminal history, owing of child support, drug use and other disqualifying attributes, that possess strong quantitative and analytical skills; that are willing to go the extra mile to train; at no cost, and at times without pay, towards a future prospect of being licensed as a Private Investigator. The licensee has well over 50 years of investigative training and experience and has realized a need to give back to his community, by training good, honest and disciplined individuals, to meet the licensing requirements and community needs for a private investigator in the future. Those selected will be required to obtain a Work Card from the Nevada Attorney General (PILB), be photographed, be fingerprinted, and undergo an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, California Department of Justice, through local police agencies and through court records and criminal history repositories. They will be required to obtain their driving records and submit to a drug screening test. To be licensed in the state of Nevada as a Private Investigator requires 10,000 hours of investigative work experience. The state makes the determination on what prior work will meet their requirements. One can earn up to 2,000 hours a year. That means that unless you have some prior work experience, or have a college degree in Criminal Justice for some qualifying hours, it will take five years to be ready for licensing. Nevada is the hardest state in the United States to obtain a Private Investigator's license in. If you have the drive to join our team for the experience of a lifetime, we invite you to apply. Please submit a full resume for consideration. If our review team considers you further, you will be contacted and provided a lengthy Application for Employment and State Attorney General Background Application. Our investigators go beyond the television version of investigators. We investigate Fire, Cause and Origin, Explosions, Forensic Crime Scene Investigations and reconstruction for the courts, Traffic Collision Investigations, Marine Casualty Investigations, conduct electronic sweeping for unlawful eavesdropping, and covert transmitters (TSCM), and a host of other common and uncommon types of legal investigations for individuals, attorney's, government entities and businesses. This posting will expire on October 4, 2019.
