TRC Professional Solutions is immediately seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to work on a direct-hire basis for an international flooring specialist and manufacturer, located in Dalton, GA. This position offers full benefits!

Mechanical Process Engineer

Duties and Requirements of the Job:

·         Performs such individual assignments as the manager may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation.

·         Maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

·         Works as a liaison between Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality working on special projects to identify process improvement opportunities, develops process improvements and implement continuous improvement actions by working across the multiple functions.

·         Performs activities necessary for the development of employees. Also including, but not limited to organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department and ensure adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.

·         Guides maintenance activities, establishes priorities and categorizes for repair and preventive maintenance services.

·         Monitors maintenance schedules to ensure tasks and scheduled deadlines are met and coordinates department activities to ensure maintenance services are performed to specifications in an efficient, cost effective, and customer-responsive manner.

·         Monitors and reports daily, weekly, monthly maintenance related activity.

·         Works closely with plant safety and quality teams to proactively identify issues and develop and/or enhance related programs and procedures; ensures programs are maintained and appropriate training and equipment is given to all employees.

·         Ensures manufacturing project engineering designs comply with codes and standards.

  • Develop and provide engineered solutions, root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and support, equipment issues for production facilities within area of responsibility.
  • Continuously analyze costs and develop cost reduction plans for capital improvements and maintenance projects; provide support to Profiling.

Training, Knowledge and Experience (May Be Required or Preferred, at the discretion of the hiring team)

·         Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Must be legally authorized to work in US without a sponsorship now or in the future.

·         Excellent math, written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ideal experience in the flooring or woodworking industry.

·         Experience working with both saws, profiling and packaging lines preferred while any automation experience is welcome.

·         Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

·         Advanced experiences with Microsoft office 365, especially Excel, CAD programs, Statistical Process Control, and other office tools.

·         Relocation package will be offered to the successful candidate.
