An ICU RN (registered nurse) is a healthcare professional who provides nursing care and support to critically ill patients in an intensive care unit (ICU) setting. The main focus of the job is to monitor patients and ensure they receive the best possible care during a critical time. Some of the responsibilities of an ICU RN include:
Assessing the patient's health status and creating a care plan that meets their individual needs.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Monitoring the patient's vital signs and medical condition, including heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and fluid levels.
Performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results to help diagnose and treat the patient's condition.
Providing education and support to the patient and their family regarding their medical condition and treatment plan.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure the patient receives comprehensive care.
Keeping detailed records of the patient's medical history and progress.
Responding to emergency situations and performing life-saving procedures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The ideal candidate for this role should have a current nursing license and experience working in an ICU or acute care setting. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of focus in a fast-paced environment.
This is a not full time but contracted travel position.

Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments and ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies. Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families. After hours recovery of post op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.**Compensation. Contractor shall be paid for each individual Nurse s time worked at TCRHCC facilities. The overtime rate is an additional $10.00 per hour to their hourly wage over 40 hours worked in a weekly period. The hourly rate includes all associated costs including, but not limited to, travel, transportation, lodging, etc. No additional amounts will be paid by TCRHCC to Contractor for overtime, on-call or hours worked during the weekends or on holidays. Contractor shall be responsible for compliance with all labor laws including but not limited to the Fair Labor Standards Act with respect to payment of providers assigned to TCRHCC.
