We serve clients in the aerospace, construction, defense, industrial, and medical industries. We are also actively developing new product lines of our own.

We are a small, close-knit, team of hands-on problem solvers who love to roll up our sleeves and learn by doing. We are looking for someone with a passion for creative problem solving to join us as we continue to grow.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Meet with customers to evaluate projects and assess feasibility
  • Collaboratively develop conceptual solutions and create sketches to communicate them
  • Design mechanical components and integrate them into systems to meet application requirements
  • Perform calculations to verify integrity of designs, or identify/ size purchased parts
  • Create 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and use FEA package to optimize/validate parts
  • Generate machining and assembly drawings with appropriate tolerances
  • Assist in fabricating and testing proof of concept equipment
  • Provide limited amount of customer training and field support for new project implementations
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets and schedules
  • Serve as a technical expert in a specific area such as PLC programming, hydraulics, data acquisition, etc
  • Mentor and provide limited management of junior engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience designing mechanical components and systems
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proficient with Autodesk Inventor CAD package and FEA tools
  • Flexible and adaptive as project requirements and schedules change
  • Comfortable with hands on testing and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Experience designing parts with manufacturing processes limitations in mind
  • Ability to create detail and assembly drawings and apply appropriate tolerances
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical actuators and drive systems as well as pumps, valves, and flow measurement devices
  • Ability to read and create electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic schematics
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting test data
  • Proficient with industry standard mechanical analysis calculations (i.e. thread stress, pressure drop, power consumption, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE license, or on path to obtaining one (passed FE/EIT exam)
  • Experience making drawings with AutoCAD
  • Hands on experience with manual and CNC machining, welding, and fabrication
  • 3D printing experience
  • Ability to fabricate prototype parts and systems with minimal additional training
  • PLC programming / automation experience
  • Data acquisition hardware and software experience
