Job Description

The System Administrator Level 3 in Information Technology is responsible for installing and configuring software and hardware, networks devices, and desktop support duties. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. The System Administrator 3 is also responsible for advance Activity Directory management and lead IT/IS projects. The System Administrator 3 also provides training/guidance for System Administrator 1 and 2. This position requires flexibility and dexterity in performance of duties, as the needs of the Information Technology department are dynamic and will change over time. This position relies on extensive experience with variety of IT equipment, and the ability to solve issues independently with minimum supervision.

This is a full-time benefited position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with periodic Saturday hours.

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Proficiency with Mitel phone system administration
    1. Create, remove, and update hunt groups
    2. Create, remove, and update call routing tree
    3. Customization of greetings on phone tree
    4. Generate reports
    5. Create, disable, and update Mitel accounts
    6. Create, remove, and update custom Call Center schedule
    7. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot desk phones
  • Proficiency with Workstation and Laptop administration
    1. Apply Windows Service Pack updates with SCCM
    2. Troubleshoot MiPACS Dental x-ray system
    3. Troubleshoot Sage MIP Finance system
    4. Image Operating System and create new images for new models
    5. Process RMA and recycling devices and update inventory system
    6. Deploy workstations/laptops and other peripheral devices
    7. Troubleshoot domain related issues
    8. Troubleshoot virus related issues
    9. Troubleshoot varies software such as Adobe
  • Proficiency with Network Administration
    1. Cable management
    2. Able to map network shared printers and drives
    3. Troubleshoot MIST Wireless AP issues
    4. Troubleshoot varies types of network connectivity issues
    5. Troubleshoot analog fax line, patch panel and data drop issues
    6. Assist with network equipment deployment
    7. Troubleshoot EPIC connectivity issues
    8. Troubleshoot VPN access issues
    9. Troubleshoot Sophos Firewall issues
    10. Troubleshoot Juniper network switches issues
  • Staff Training
    1. Provide basic Outlook, OneNote, Teams, and OneDrive navigational training
    2. Provide basic phone operation training
    3. Provide best practice training on how to use Internet and email
    4. Provider basic Zoom, Docusign, and SharePoint training
  • Update Documentations in IT knowledge base on OneNote
  • Proficiency with Server Administration
    1.  Extensive knowledge of Active Directory
    2. Create, disable, and update AD accounts
    3. Manage Anti-Virus clients and server
    4. Manage Office 365 accounts and Exchange Administration
    5. Troubleshoot VM on Hyper-V
    6. Replace server hardware
    7. Add, update and remove virtual machines
    8. Setup and deploy servers at data center
    9. Make sure servers are patched with latest windows updates
    10. Able to manage and troubleshoot issues with Cloud and on perm AD
  • Participant in on-call support group
  • Desktop Support Duties
    • Manage user communications and updates during planned and unplanned system downtime. Maintain user-facing FAQs and internal IT Knowledge Base (KB) current by updating relevant documents as needed. In turn, use the KB articles to resolve simple issues
    • Manage IT inventory system and maintain it up to date for hardware assets including laptops, PC, mobile devices. Maintain software and licensing inventories and keep them current and compliant. Ensure that support contracts are current on all hardware and software as IT assigns and accepts devices from employee.
  • Respond to emergencies 24/7. Ability to perform required maintenance during maintenance windows. Able to work some weekends and night shifts
  • Research new technology and make recommendation base on department’s needs
  • Lead and execute IT and IS projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding privileged proprietary, administrative, technical and clinical information according to HIPAA and quality of care standards; ensure system security to meet data confidentiality requirements.
  • When assigned, set up meetings such as printing training materials, set up projector, web conference, etc.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Service Excellence Standards of TVHC, Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position-Specific Competencies 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems (Windows 2018 or above servers) 
  • Strong troubleshooting, multi-tasking, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with windows scripting and commends
  • Experience with VMware EXSi and Hyper-V administration 
  • Experience with active directory and administration of Microsoft products. 
  • Understands networking, IP subnetting
  • Understands VPN technology
  • Understands TCP/IP routing       
  • Understands VLANs and managing switches
  • Understands administration of firewalls  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or two (2) years of specialized experience plus an associate degree or a high school diploma may be used in place of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience as Desktop Support in a Health Clinic is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Center Management; Microsoft Office 365, Hyper V, and VMWare; Windows Server 2016 or above; Cisco, Sophos, and Juniper line of products; Active Directory; verities of data Backup solutions; ADP Hand Punch/Timecard machine.
  • Solid and proven experience working with diverse communities in a non-profit or healthcare setting preferred
  • Prior working experience with EPIC or EHR system preferred.
