Job Description

Our company is looking for a responsible Purchasing/AP Specialist to join our close-knit team located near Mt. Park in Lake Oswego. The company is a large trading company in a small office and the ideal candidate should be comfortable in a small office setting.

Duties as a Purchasing/AP Specialist include providing support to our team, managing our company’s general administrative activities, manage paperless files, updating paperwork and other documents, assisting with purchasing, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands. In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word processing applications. Strong communication skills are also highly valued. We are seeking a detail oriented, reliable, and trustworthy individual.


-Manage and enter information into Access and Sage/Peachtree database
-Assist purchasing agent with order confirmations
-Communicate through email with vendors and customers

-Maintain a paper and paperless filing system
-Update paperwork, maintain documents and word processing
-Review documentation for errors

-Analyze, process invoices and other bills, resolving any problems that could incur

-Request statements from vendors
-Helping organize and maintain office common areas

-Performing general office clerk duties and run occasional errands

-High School Diploma, some college or previous experience
-Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and scanners
-Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, and Outlook, in particular)
-Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
-Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
-1 year experience as an office assistant or in related field
-Ability to work well independently

The position is Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm with 100% employer paid medical/vision/dental after 90 days, 401k contribution after 1 year, vacation/sick leave, life insurance and paid holidays. $18/hour to start DOE
