The Role

The Account Manager is a sales support role. The Account manager works with Account Executives to complete tasks, often administrative in nature to allow the Account Executive (AE) to focus on closing sales.

The Account Manager is responsible for compiling presentations for the AE and customer. The Account Manager interfaces with the Business Intelligence team to obtain and understand data. They work with the customer service team on any concerns and issues either party may encounter and work with Transaction Managers on projects.

This role may travel with the AE to customer sites, interacting with key customer contacts and assisting the AE. The role provides value to the organization while allowing the individual to learn the equipment, business and art of a deal to enhance their career path. This role has potential to move into direct selling if there is a mutual fit.

The Account Manager is an individual contributor role on the sales team. The role requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to get the right things done and the right time. They are quality and customer focused. They work with other TFS teams to provide an overall excellent customer experience. They are able to take on tasks to free up others to close solution sales. The ideal candidate enjoys a dynamic team environment, is primarily self-sufficient, can manage competing priorities and has a learning mindset.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support Sales team
  • Gather and consolidate equipment quotes from vendors as directed by account executives
  • Gather and consolidate lease quotes from lessors as directed by account executive
  • Create specifications forms as directed by account executives
  • Assist on site surveys
  • Perform Data analysis of fleet spend
  • Prepare presentations
  • Conduct customer training on systems/features such as Communities
  • Assist in the implementation of fleet plans
  • May need to travel to customer locations by request less than 40%
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Proven track record of sales to industrial and commercial clients.
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce with previous experience locating and looking up information and inputting data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Advance Excel Skills - ability to produce graphs and tables, perform calculations (formulas) to process large datasets, data analyzation and Pivot table creation, and proficient with V Lookup.
  • Presentation Building - experienced in creating PowerPoint slides that include data tables, imagery, and comfortable with transitions, SmartArt and design, comfortable with researching content and creating PowerPoint notes.
  • Travel - must be willing to travel up to, 25% of the time.
  • Must have valid drivers’ license and clean driving record (Department of Motor Vehicles).
  • The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
