This position is required onsite 4 days per week in 43940 Digital Loudoun Plaza, #Bldg G Bldg G, Ashburn, Virginia, 20147, United States

Shift is 4X10 - Hours are 10 am-9 pm with a 1-hour lunch.

The contractor for this position will provide 24-hour support of the national data center and carrier-neutral facility. Work will include rack/stack/cable and Tier 1 support of all data center assets.

Description:

Seasoned Operations technicians will need to work independently with minimal supervision in support of Tier 1 Break-fix, network connectivity, and Critical Infrastructure/Facilities. Support device deployments, refreshes, decommissions, and network migrations.

• Must be an effective communicator, both written and oral. Ability to discuss designs concerning power, cooling, cabling, and networking issues with network users, administrators, consultants, architects, and electrical engineers and make recommendations and set forth design proposals based on current and future requirements.

• Effective leadership skills to resolve conflicts and retain high morale amongst internal teams as well as vendor teams.

• Ability and willingness to adapt and accept change with strong decision-making skills to complete projects successfully.

• Strong team working skills; Develop and maintain excellent self-leadership skills including proactive, customer service-oriented working relationships with all appropriate levels inside and outside the company.

• Personal qualities include integrity, respect for others, personal responsibility, and a passion to approach all aspects of the job with enthusiasm.

Provides daily operations support and maintenance for network systems including wireless and VoIP. Proactively monitors networks to provide stable dependable network services across multiple platforms. Configures and troubleshoots computer networks. Maintains LAN/WAN/wireless/VoIP operations by working with network facility and hardware/software vendors to ensure timely problem resolution. Maintains and utilizes network management applications to identify network faults to ensure the provision of data or other telecommunications access to customers and the movement of information from one location to the other. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 3-5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments.
