WHAT YOU'LL DO
The role of the IT Senior Specialist is to help plan and perform the daily IT operations within the local office. By working closely with a team of IT professionals, the IT Senior Specialist will execute local IT projects, provide solutions to issues, and help manage local stakeholders to ensure the team is delivering a high level of customer care to colleagues and visiting our client and its contemporaries. This includes, but is not limited to, user support, computer setup, maintenance and service, telecommunications, assisting with network and infrastructure maintenance, and all other technology needs in the San Francisco office.
Reporting directly to the West Coast IT Manager, the IT Senior Specialist must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, high-performing, service-oriented environment and to apply and interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enrich the business and in keeping with our values and culture.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
*Analytically solving problems by using strong technical, organizational, and team working skills
*Communicating effectively with management groups, business service teams, external vendors, and technical staff
*Prioritizing issues daily and escalating as appropriate to next level IT expertise or management
*Demonstrating interpersonal skills when interacting with all levels of the local office on daily support requests assigned through various channels (email, phone, ticketing system, live walk-ins, etc.)
*Acting as a technical expert by consistently evaluating existing systems and recommending technology for replacements and/or upgrades
*Demonstrating organizational skills by maintaining and updating documentation of issues and ensuring their timely resolution
*Displaying composure, tact, patience, and the ability to handle stressful situations
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
·Bachelor's degree in technology or equivalent experience
·Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT related field
·Microsoft certifications are a plus to demonstrate technical proficiency (e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, etc.)
·Experience in effectively communicating and presenting technical concepts to management, peer group and staff
·Superior knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
·Experience independently resolving issues related to (but not limited to) Windows, Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and VPN/network connectivity.
·Basic skills in the following areas: PC/laptop hardware, software, telecommunications, mobile devices, networking, and server administration
YOU'LL WORK WITH
A variety of cohorts and functions across the San Francisco office - from junior staff through senior leadership as well as the Regional IT Manager, external vendors in addition to the other members of the company. You will work with a tight-knit San Francisco operations team comprised of office services, human resources, and IT functions.
