This position is located at Eielson AFB, AK, and is a Full Time SEASONAL (01 April – 31 October) position. This position will report to the Site Manager.

Job Description

This position maintains and modifies complex hardware and software systems or develops new subsystems for customers to use and to meet the needs of the unit while complying with all U.S. Air Force Regulations, DoD/ISSO Requirements, and MAJCOM and/or local procedures.  In order to do this, the CSA:

  • Gathers information from users/computer operators and defines systemic problems
  • Guides users in formulating requirements advises alternative solutions
  • Analyzes and resolves issues and conducts feasibility studies to recommend data processing, additional programming, procedural, hardware, or software changes
  • Provides recommendations for optimal approach and develops design for new projects
  • Interprets information and informally arbitrates between system users if conflicts exist
  • Develops complete specifications or enables other Computer Programmers to prepare required programs and analyzes subject-matter operations to be automated
  • Specifies number/types of records, files, & documents to be produced and/or stored
  • Prepares work diagrams and data flow charts
  • Coordinates tests of the system and participates in trial runs of new and revised systems
  • Sets up, maintains, and runs Air Combat Training Systems including on-range and in-house networks as well as Integrated Combat Aircrew Debriefing Systems (ICADS) and other key infrastructure as required to include new and/or upgraded hardware & software
  • May be required to support COMSEC mandates

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field is highly desired or the equivalent Vocational or Military training
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
  • IAT II (A+ and/or Security+ highly recommended (and must keep this certification current))
  • BS in Computer Science highly desired
  • Demonstrate competence in all phases of systems analysis techniques, concepts, and methods and knowledge of available system software, computer equipment, and the regulations, structure, techniques, and management practices of one or more subject-matter areas, as well as ability to recognize probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources to produce innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems

  Additional Requirements

  • US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
  • Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
