GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, executing and monitoring plant Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse operations activities while maintaining Safety and Quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: * Responsible for performing a combination of tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. * Managing efficient flow of products from the point of material receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to internal and external customers. * Manage inventory locations systems in stockroom and implement best practice to manage inventory, receiving and shipping activities under our ERP system. * Maintain data in ERP system related to the management of the company Kanban system. * Manage the logistics of inbound and outbound material. * Audit and approve all freight bills * Update and maintain import shipment log * Adhere to all Safety, Quality, Environment, Security and Employee Handbook regulations. * Supervises staff in the following areas (approximately 8-10 direct reports): Receiving * Communicate with inbound transportation provider * Schedule delivery * Assist with US Customs import clearance * Physically receive freight * Coordinate delivery and receipt of shipments at 3rd party warehouse * Accurately verify material received with vendor packing list * Record all discrepancies * Transact shipment details accurately into the ERP system * Assist with moving and putting away material * File all documents Stockroom * Accurately pick and package material required for production, sales and customer service * Assure that all material issued is marked and labeled correctly * Transact material into ERP system accurately (Kanban, Requisitions, Inventory Transfers) * Assist with creating and updating Kanban requests * Maintain FIFO, RoHS, Shelf Life and Hazardous Material requirements. * Keep account of all supplies and equipment necessary to handle material safely, within an ESD environment Shipping * Communicate and correspond with domestic and international outbound transportation providers and forwarders and schedule pick-ups * Prepare export documents * Utilize customer portals to request and process shipments * Process shipment detail accurately into the ERP system * Generate carrier shipping labels and pick lists and customer specific labels * Verify part, model, description, serial number with pick list * Update shipment holds and schedule releases when authorized * Assist with packing units and creating molds.
Reference and maintain material instructions * Enter weights, dimensions and pieces onto pick-list * Stack units onto pallets using straps, stretch wrap and applying shipping labels as required * Maintain all required supplies and equipment associated with the packaging of finished products and spare parts POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Six to ten years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience); supervisory experience a must. * Strong import/export experience * Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
