Senior Flame Artist

Who You Are:

You are a seasoned Senior Flame artist, experience in beauty and car brands a plus, with a deep knowledge of compositing, visual effects and editorial finishing to help build and lead a growing division. You have exceptional technical and software skills including advanced proficiency in Autodesk Flame. You have strong knowledge of visual effects techniques and a thorough understanding of VFX and post-production pipelines, tools, and best practices. You have experience with remote production workflows and knowledge of broadcast standards, video compression formats and exports. You have excellent communication skills and experience interfacing with clients.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and supervise finishing projects including conforming edits, compositing, tracking, visual effects, and mastering deliverables
• Run supervised sessions with producers, directors, creatives, and clients
• Work with facility producers to break down and estimate VFX projects
• Implement and oversee best practices for team delivering high-volume commercial tagging work
• Stay informed of new trends in the VFX and video production communities and suggest new ways to implement these trends/technologies

Communication Skills:

• Effectively communicate ongoing project status with the entire production team
• Collaborate with creatives to solve production challenges and deliver the highest quality of work
• Assemble and lead VFX teams

Agency Relationships:

• Work with creative teams to improve creative ideas and executions
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with creatives and producers

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Development and oversight of VFX production team, including remote personnel

Location:

Given the nature of Production team and the client(s) assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to New York City or Nashville.

The annual salary range for this role is $175,000-$225,000 and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location and experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
