Technical Requirements: Specific criteria is outlined in the following tasks to provide packaging, provisioning, DevOps (including reporting & analytics), and server application support for the Retail Systems Software (RSS) application that spans 66 RSS/RS-SS production servers and over 48,000 retail terminals/devices in the field. Requirements/duties

• Perform Oracle database Extract, Translate, and Load (ETL) processes to facilitate monitoring and reporting functions.
• Support Oracle databases and stored procedures.
• Provide Web Tools for end users.
• Support interfaces for data updates from data stewards.
• Validate interface data according to data specifications.
• Manage USPS-specific 12-digit bar codes for Postal products.
• Provide programming support to reboot terminals when necessary.
• Provide programming support to continuously retrieve the health of the 66 Production RSS/RS-SS application servers and provide data feeds to the monitoring dashboards.
• Provide programming support to retrieve software installation and registry information from 48,000+ terminals and devices in the field to determine software currency.
• Send dashboard alerts when critical infrastructure is in alarm status.
• Manage interfaces between the terminal ordering system and the monitoring/reporting system to keep a current inventory of systems in the field.
• Provide monthly, or upon request, key performance metrics based on established deliverables.

• Number of interface files as expected and within specifications.
• Successful Electronic Data Distributions (EDD) for Postal products/services.
• Documented processes for ETL, Web Tools, interfaces, and programming logic.
• Dashboards showing current system health of retail terminals and servers.
• Number of servers in good health.
• Number of systems with current software at 100% for given release levels.
• Number of systems not at current software or release level.
• Quarterly accomplishments.
• Monthly and ad-hoc performance metrics.

  Required Qualifications:
  US Citizen
  Public Trust Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematical, Statistical Computing, or technical field
  • 4-6 years of experience with the following:
  o Experience interacting with AI/ML
  o Specializing in data analysis, data visualization, machine learning, and natural language processing using industry-standard tools such as Python
  o Preferably performed statistical analysis to identify correlation with financial data.
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Polished oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose, tailor, and deliver original presentations and papers on abstract concepts.
  • Develops and employs strategies to analyze key issues, draw conclusions from data, and recommend viable solutions to address customer mission needs.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud provider.
  • Experienced in applying statistical and data visualization skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
