Job Description

POSITION CONCEPT

The Abilities Connection (TAC) is seeking team members who want fulfilling work at a successful non-profit organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§   Analyzes and defines the trend analysis (services and customers), program growth opportunity and assessments, strategy development and budgeting in exploring diverse markets.

§   Maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with cross-functional stakeholders and executing research.

§   Develop marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for targets and opportunities that is defined to the action of assignments.

§   Assisting in executing communication/outreach activities and public relations for traditional marketing efforts (marketing materials, advertising, direct mail, marketing campaign, and press releases). Promote special events and functions; promotes and report on corporate milestones and activities.

§   Responsible for various marketing techniques, technologies, communication channels, and pricing strategies.

§   Ability to develop product messaging that differentiates new products and services from others in various markets.

§   Plans prepares and distributes promotional content such as articles, news, press releases, email, social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.

§   Run the Marketing/Development Committee with board and staff members to develop related activities throughout the year.

§   Promote strong relationships between TAC and its donor base by increasing the circle of support. Make personal contact to individuals and businesses to present the organization’s funding needs and requests. Establishes relationships with potential funding sources.

§   Secure increasing levels of contributed income through individual, planned, major giving, government, corporate and foundation grants, and endowment funds.

    

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Business, Marketing, and Communications) Preferred.

·         Experience with strategic planning, market research, public relations, direct mail campaigns, and/or development of collateral materials.

·         Minimum of 2 years of digital and traditional marketing required.

 

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

·         Broad knowledge of individual fundraising, annual giving, grant writing, and a working knowledge of gift planning techniques.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Authentic persona, highly energetic, and a natural collaborator. With problem-solving skills, make suggestions, use sound judgment and think on your feet.

·         Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with good follow-through skills and a strong work ethic.

·         Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPress
