Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP) is a veteran-owned business, based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Founded in 1981, we have been providing services to the Navy for over 35 years. Our core business is providing systems, software, and hardware engineering services, as well as test and evaluation services to the U.S. Navy, chiefly for submarine electronic systems.
We have enjoyed steady, planned growth for over three decades, and have grown to over 400 people, with operations in multiple states. Our strength lies in our highly trained and professional staff, who consistently exceed customer expectations.
The selected applicant will perform work leading Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) and other submarine systems in obtaining approvals for the Authority to Operate (ATO). While this position will mostly have regular business hours, some travel may be required.
The candidate must have experience with the application of process and technical controls to mitigate risks to system security and methods to specify, test, and certify that the chosen controls are implemented properly using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series of special publications and meet Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. Applicant must have experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes. Previous work with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) will be considered. Current familiarity with specific Linux and Windows implementation of security controls is a plus. Understanding of the System Engineering process and its application to DoD system development is also a plus.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science degree in technical field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) is required for this position. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and 6 years' experience in military systems (e.g., service abroad a naval ship) with 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering can be substituted for the Bachelor of Science degree requirement.
