A world-class producer of silicone-coated release liners for pressure-sensitive
products is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their team of Professionals
near Newark, NJ. Be part of a great company, that in the past year has

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting all elements of the supplier quality system
including new supplier qualification, supplier re-evaluation, non-conforming
material containment, root cause analysis and other corrective and preventive
initiatives.
Assist suppliers in understanding and implementing Victaulic specifications.
Improving Internal Quality processes (such as incoming inspection, claims
handling, measuring, and monitoring of processes) and offer Quality Management
support to other departments (Supply Chain, Customer Care, warehousing, etc.) in
order to improve internal processes and to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Serve as department liaison for several new product development initiatives.
Actively participate in product design reviews.
Advanced Quality Planning, design & process FMEA’s, mistake proofing and
other quality new product development activities.
Establish and maintain statistically valid test protocols and procedures for
applications to all products to ensure that all products shipped meet defined
customer requirements.
Maintain and update lab equipment as per need and establish calibration test
protocols.
Help maintain the company ISO/TX/QS system and all associated activities,
including internal auditing and coordination of external auditing. Provide
direction to maintain certification and to ensure continuous improvement of
processes and systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or Engineering. (In some cases,
will consider individuals who have experience as Quality Engineer, but who do
not have the degree.) required
Minimum 3 to 5 years' Quality Engineer experience in manufacturing
environment required
Experience with Lean / Six Sigma, ISO9000, Customer, Internal and
External Audits, People and System / Process Management required
Proficient in using systematic techniques, quality tools, and
methodologies. E.g., 5 WHY, 8D, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Process flow, etc.
preferred
Proficient in process control, APQP, PPAP, SPC, control plans,
PFMEA, Cp & Cpk and MSA studies.
Proficient analytical skills (problem solver) with ability to
diagnose root causes and influence sustainable actions.
Experience with Statistical Software – Minitab preferred Excel,
SQL, Access, SAP
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
