Responsibilities include analyze and understand simulation software discrepancies and change requirements, develop conceptual solutions, design, code, implement and test these solutions. Understand and modify software for training devices and other similar applications that satisfy specified operational, performance, and interface requirements. Responsible for these simulation software tasks within a specified budget and schedule.
Further responsibilities include risk identification and management, communicating with coworkers and management at every phase of the design process, and presenting design ideas, solutions, and status.
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (with a Software development experience)
+ Experience: 5-8 years' experience of Software Development experience in the Flight Simulation and/or aircraft Avionics industry
+ OS Skills: Recent experience with Linux OS, especially Realtime Linux kernels
+ Coding Skills: Recent experience programming in C or C++ (required), and C# and Python are a plus. C/C++ embedded Realtime application development is our core focus. Other unique languages we appreciate experience coding in are ADA and FORTRAN.
+ Tactical Skills: Preference for candidates with experience with systems engineering processes, to include requirements analysis, system architecture definition and design, and system verification testing, as well as bids and proposals experience.
+ Location: Must be willing to relocate to Tulsa, OK area and have the ability to work regularly in one of our Tulsa/Broken Arrow offices (we do allow work from home when the assigned tasks allow for remote work, however many do require in-office work).
+ Security Clearance: Ideally has a US DoD Security Clearance, but at a minimum is able to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance
+ To obtain a US DOD Security clearance criteria include: must be a US Person, ideally no criminal record (or minimal offenses at most), no drugs (not even with an OK Medical MJ card), no significant foreign ties or holdings, fiscally and emotionally stable, etc.
+ Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 25% annually to US Military bases, primarily US CONUS but occasionally world-wide. Our average engineer traveled 10% in 2021, however we set the expectation that it could be up to 25% annually.
+ Salary: Target salary range $85k - $115k , depending on overall experience and skill-set. This position is also eligible for a significant annual bonus.
