System One is seeking a talented and self-motivated Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Engineering office located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a great opportunity to get involved with exciting and challenging power generation projects and other industrial plants. 

Senior Mechanical Designer Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of mechanical designers and engineers to prepare mechanical piping and instrumentation drawings, piping plans, elevations, and sections to represent the mechanical design.
• Must be able to utilize various drafting and CADD techniques with proficiency to produce drawings in a 2D and 3D environment.
• Must be able to accurately draw mechanical systems from sketches or specifications using appropriate symbology, terms, procedures, and drafting standards.
• Prepare bills of material, schedules and assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues.

Senior Mechanical Designer Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum 12+ years of engineering drafting experience and be familiar with all basic drafting techniques.
• 2D and 3D CAD experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments as necessary.
