P6 Scheduler / Planner ( Power Generation )

System One has a temp to hire employment conversion opportunity for a P6 Scheduler / Planner to support our clients Power Generation Hydroelectric system projects. The P6 Scheduler / Planner develops and manages complex project and maintenance schedules supporting major capital construction and expanse work throughout the generating system using Primavera P6 software.

MUST have solid proficiency using P6 scheduling software!


+ Must be local to Redding, CA to work out of that office location ( No per diem or relocation )

+ U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident required

+ Out of town and overnight travel is expected during construction ~ 30%

+ Ability to travel using personal vehicle (reimbursed per MSA)

+ Required to complete all System One and Client onboarding requirements

+ Must satisfy a minimum of 520 hours on System One payroll before conversion to direct with client

The P6 Scheduler / Planner Requirements are:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

+ Solid proficiency using P6 Scheduling software

+ Ability to create, update, and monitor outage, project, and construction schedules.

+ The P6 Scheduler / Planner Must be able to work independently in gathering data for updates, evaluate risk scenarios.

+ This requires strategic thinking and raise the flag when issues occur.

+ Knowledge of database and information systems such as SAP, MS Access, Shared Drives, SharePoint

+ Knowledge of Power Generation procedures

The P6 Scheduler / Planner is fully prepared to perform the follow responsibilities:

+ Gathers information to develop maintenance outage plans and complex relational schedules in Primavera P6.

+ Manages the development of, performs updates and analysis of, a maintenance outage schedule, and recommends changes/adjustments as needed.

+ Updates Level 1, 2, and 3 schedules, coordinating changes with field personnel.

+ Collaborates with internal and external customers to achieve consensus on final version of outage schedule, making changes and adjustments and ensuring project and task duration is sufficient, and activities and logic (predecessors and successors) are accurate.

+ Provides administration over maintenance outage documentation and planning activities (e.g. document control, communication development, updating templates, field change authorizations, quality checks).

+ Leads outage planning and execution activities, in the absence of an Outage Manager or Maintenance Planner.

+ Mentors less experienced staff.

+ Perform the duties/provides back up coverage to Career level schedulers as needed.
