Global Variable Compensation Manager

About the role

You will be a member of our Global People Operations team and you will report directly to the Global people Operations Director.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for all variable compensation (both short-term and long-term incentives). You will be in the driver seat for our variable compensation plans and will link in with various parties (ao management team, finance team, HR stakeholders, payroll team etc. ) to make sure amounts are properly calculated, paid on time and duly reported, in line with internal policies and local legislation.

You will have the opportunity to support the roll-out as well as the further development, automation and optimization of our variable compensation plans, policies and related procedures.

You will have responsibility for the entire process from data entry over validation to reporting and you will be the key contact for any variable compensation related queries globally.

Key responsibilities

  • Incorporate our newly developed Short-term and Long-term incentive plans in standard procedures and related policies
  • Build a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders to further support our variable compensation process
  • Automation of our processes to the maximum extent possible, to reduce manual workload and room for errors
  • Ensure correct and timely data gathering and continuous data validation to ensure variable compensation is properly calculated, reported and paid out
  • Key contact person and expert for variable compensation related queries. You will not only reply to participant questions, but you will also be responsible for training of our HR teams on variable comp related topics, philosophy and tools
  • Drive continuous benchmarking of the variable compensation market to further develop and finetune our existing plans, policies and procedures and to make sure company variable compensation strategy is supporting our evolving business needs
  • Design, update and optimize our variable compensation plans and procedures across the organization, in line with changing business needs

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with variable compensation or similar experience in a financial environment; experience in variable compensation payouts in multiple plans globally in a continuously changing work environment
  • You are able to analyze and use both internal and external data to make informed proposals; this will include the analysis of various data sources from different parts of the business (in an international context)
  • You enjoy managing multiple topics at the same time while collaborating with various stakeholders (both internal and external) and are able to keep a good and structured thinking process/overview while doing so
  • You have a proactive mindset and enjoy learning and applying new ways of working and methodologies to continuously improve the way we work
  • Strong team player with a high level of organizational, communication and interpersonal
Skills
  • Able to work with confidential information in a mature way
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is considered a plus
