Engineering Technician

System One is actively seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract position located in Westerville, OH.

Engineering Technician Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair capabilities with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness
• Service and repair activities must be performed within established ISO certified policies and procedures and documented accordingly

Engineering Technician Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent work / military experience is required along with a minimum of 5 years related field service support
• Network support, Computer repair and OS restoration as well as software configuration is preferred
• Experience using calibration and electronic test equipment is required
• General software knowledge is a must (Windows 10, MS Word, MS Excel)
• The candidate will require the skills to troubleshoot various electronic boards to component level and replace components, including through-hole and surface mount to IPC-A-610 standards
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as Voltmeters and Oscilloscopes is required
• Must possess solid electronic troubleshooting abilities as well as demonstrated excellence in communication and customer service skills
• In addition to electronic skills, good mechanical skills are preferred
• Experience with LabView programming and / or use of LabView programs is a plus
• Additional requirements include the ability to work overtime as necessary to meet customers’ needs and a desire to participate in continuing education as necessary to meet customers and company needs
• Must be an American Citizen
• Travel is not typically required for this role

• Troubleshooting using a Multimeter

• Power supplies
• Microprocessors
• Analog in/out
• Digital in/out
• Networking

Electro-Mechanical skillset:

• Pneumatics
• Stepper Motors
• Actuators

Software:

• MS Word / MS Excel
• Basic programming knowledge
• Not Required but a plus LabView C / C++ Understanding of Firmware
