System One is currently seeking an Assembler for a contract position located in Ankeny, IA.
+ Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
+ Responsibility level:
+ Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor
+ Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
+ Determine work assignments and procedure s
+ Shovel and sweep work areas
+ Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts
+ Provide assistance in the production of wiring assemblies
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ 2-4 years' experience required
+ Automotive/mechanic skills and that take engineer drawings, be able to view them and decide what parts are needed and how they need to be put together
+ Will need to be local - job is onsite
+ This is not a normal assembly line work and will need to learn many jobs and tasks for each assemble stations
+ Will need prior experience with assembly but not mass production
+ Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability (required)
+ Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods (typically required)
+ Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions (typically required)
+ Team player and detail oriented (required)
+ Adapt with a fast-learning curve and if they have experience with BOMs
+ Hours will be Monday - Thursday 10-hour shift, Friday will be overtime, usually 8-10 hours depending on demand
Location: Ankeny, IA Pay Rate : $24.44/hr.
