The Quality Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring that incoming and outgoing product quality meets the quality requirements as established by the division with its suppliers and its customer. Responsible in accordance ISO/TS 16949, that the processes and procedures are operating as specified by the Quality System and that root-cause corrective action is implemented for non-conformance. Ensures the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the ISO/TS 16949 Quality System and encourages/ drives continuous improvement wherever possible in a cost efficient manner exceeding the expectations of the Customer and division.
Implements, improves and maintains a Division Quality system compliant with required commercial, government and customer requirements such as ISO/TS 16949, UL and IPC in US Operations, and provides support for Global Operations.
Directly manages/leads/mentors Quality Engineers & employees within the division and coordinates Process Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D and customer activities in division-wide customer compliant reduction and key continuous improvement efforts.
Proactive and responsive customer complaints and related 8D problem solving oversight, with the cross-functional team (containment, root cause analysis, countermeasures definition and implementation)
Actively tracks and reports on quality KPIs
Develops and maintains partnership relationships with critical suppliers and customers

Required Education and Experience:
BS Degree in Engineering or a related field
5-7 years of recent TS 16949 quality management leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Automotive Tier 1/ supplier experience
Understanding of Six Sigma / Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Working knowledge ISO9001/TS16949
Working knowledge of 8D Problem Solving or similar problem solving methodologies.
Knowledge and understanding of statistics
Experience overseeing and resolving supplier and customer quality issues
Effective oral and written communication
Self-starter with strong leadership and time/project management skills
Competency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support a 24/7 global operation
Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 10%
Preferred Education and Experience:
10 or more of years of experience in a Quality leadership position in a TS 16949 manufacturing environment
CQE or CQM certification
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
This position requires supervisory responsibility
This position requires travel up to 10% for company-related business activities
