Work Environment: Production/Lab
Dress code: Jeans and a t-shirt that are appropriate for a work environment. Steel toed boots are also a must. Client will provide a hard hat, safety glasses, safety gloves, ear plugs and any other PPE that may be needed.
The primary responsibility of the Lab Tech I is to assist the Quality Management (QM) or operations team through completion of analytical testing. Analytical testing may be performed in support of NIR calibration development and maintenance, may provide routine analysis of in-process and final products, or support for new or on-going projects in any area of QM or plant operations. Additional support may be given to the Specialist team to complete business initiatives. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for communication of results in writing or verbally to all appropriate persons or entry of data in designated computer systems.
75% - Perform analytical analyses such as; samples used to develop and maintain NIR calibrations and cross checks; sensory panel preparation; routine wastewater analysis; routine analytical analyses required on finished product or in-process samples.
15% - Maintain analytical equipment through maintenance, preventive maintenance and calibration; solution preparation and standardization.
10% - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
Job duties include: Task responabilites. In process testing- beginning process. Quality testing. Lab sanitation. Validation on instrumentation.

Min. Bachelor's Degree
Min. 1 year lab experience
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for extended period, able to navigate safely in an industrial environment.
Sound understanding of the basic sciences and analytical techniques, willingness to learn
Demonstrated computer proficiency.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment
Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
