Examples of Work Performed

  • Track status of applications, process completed applications
  • Communication via email or telephone
  • Maintains and checks Housing & Community Services email inbox, gives information, takes messages, directs clients to appropriate Housing & Community Services staff.
  • May maintain customer accounts and related records in online databases.
  • Operates office machines such as multi-line telephone system, copy machine, and fax machine; may type memoranda, letters, forms and other documents such as frequently asked questions and website content.

Requirements of Work
  • Working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to make mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain complex clerical records.
  • Ability to understand applicable policies and procedures and to exercise good judgment in making decisions in accordance with ordinances, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to stay seated for extended periods of time.
  • May require attainment of passing score on pre-employment typing test.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates and clients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

Required Experience
  • One year of experience in performing clerical duties

This position will pay $15.03 an hour, Monday - Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
