Job Description

Syndeo has a direct hire opportunity for a Sales Engineer for a local manufacturing company.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Develop extensive knowledge of company products, applications, and strategic focus/objectives.
  • Develop superior customer relationships by visiting or calling accounts frequently and effectively, bringing value to the customer, enabling Electromech to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Provide a high level of customer service by serving as a liaison between the customer and the company on engineering matters regarding product applications, sales and service.
  • Ability to keep abreast of and understand the global aerospace marketplace in terms of industry developments for both the OEM’s and Aftermarket segments; i.e., industry trends, price/volume information, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain current business contracted while growing the territory through market share gain at the account base, through signing new customer business, and through bringing new                       applications to the Electromech business units on targeted existing and targeted new programs.
  • Assess each business situation from all competitive aspects. Be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be capable in contributing to Electromech negotiations from a commercial position as well as from a terms and conditions standpoint, externally and internally.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  •  Bachelors in Engineering or Business required. MBA preferred.
  •  3-5 years in the aerospace industry with a working knowledge of the aerospace, commercial, and military programs.
  • Have an established and proven sales record of accomplishment of revenue-based results.
  • Capable of successful demonstration in interfacing with purchasing, engineering, and program management groups in customer bases managed.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong analytical skills to compile data into useful information, interpret it, and communicate the results effectively.
  • Able to identify trends and strategic opportunities that fit into our three value drivers, price, productivity and profitable new business.
  • Self-driven, energetic and detail-oriented.
  • Display professional presence and credibility.
  • Highly organized in order to meet management deadlines.
  • Possess solid PC skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; skills in manipulating Excel spreadsheets critical.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
