Counter Sales Representative

COUNTER SALES - Industrial Supplies & Equipment - Asheboro, NC

We are a locally owned and operated industrial supply company with a fantastic and unique opportunity for the right person. If you have some familiarity with mechanics &/or industrial supplies and enjoy working with people to help them find a solution for their need, we’d like to hear from you.

This is a full-time position with Sykes Supply in our Asheboro, NC, location working alongside a very experienced team who are experts in providing unbeatable service to our inside and outside customers. You’ll do the same from the counter and over the phone as you

• take customer orders,
• pick & consolidate orders,
• stock and maintain your counter and showroom,
• assist customers in making their selections,
• and help them identify alternate or substitute products as needed.

We’ll mix in a bit of activity in shipping and receiving, so you’ll need to be able to lift 50 lbs.

Punctuality, attention to detail, good communication skills, teachability, being team-oriented, some computer skills, a willingness to go the extra mile for your customers and coworkers, a tidy appearance, and the ability to work in a busy environment will make you a good candidate for this position in a growth environment. We like to promote from within, so we think long term with these kinds of opportunities and encourage you to do the same. $15-$17/hr to start with commission opportunity after training and plenty of room to grow.
