The Role

Sweater is building a new venture ecosystemone that connects venture-backable companies with everyday investors and institutional partners. We believe that every person has the right to impact the future of the next generation of companies through open access to venture investing.

In this role, youll be responsible for leading all aspects of growth marketing, lead generation, funnel nurturing, and member experience to build trust with prospective and current members of the Cashmere Fund. You will also support other team members in their efforts to court institutional (non-retail) partners and third party partnerships. 

You will collaborate with the founders and executive team to determine appropriate channels, techniques, messages, and personas that reach Sweaters audiences cost effectively while staying within the brand guidelines set forth by Sweaters cross-team Brand Council. This role will report directly to the CEO. 

The ideal candidate will have deep and recently demonstrated skills surrounding digital marketing acquisition across paid media, influencer marketing, experiential marketing, event management, merchandise strategy, referral marketing, and long-term email nurturing. The orchestration of efforts across channels to effectively nurture and lead prospective members through their own discovery journey without the use of forceful or manipulative short-term tactics is of the utmost importance to our values and to the longevity of the Sweater brand and member lifecycle. 

This position is a Player Coach role where you will lead others in their respective responsibilities to achieve the growth marketing teams objectives, while also rolling up your own sleeves and being tactical in the weeds to build and execute upon efforts together. This is not a management or strategic role only, but rather requires a deep passion for growth marketing and the tactics required to execute in an ever changing and dynamic digital marketing environment.

What youll do every day:

  • Lead marketing team and cross team collaboration to build and maintain a high energy marketing culture built around experimentation and rapid iteration, with an eye towards the efficient acquisition of AUM/capital into the Cashmere Fund. 
  • Build foundations for repeatable experiential marketing efforts designed to educate, build trust, and connect the dots for various personas to feel confident to invest in venture capital. 
  • Ideate, prioritize, and plan efforts to acquire new Members through channels and via messaging that brings new AUM to the Cashmere Fund. 
  • Operate within a budget set forth to achieve goals within timelines and AUM milestones that balance appropriate LTV/CAC ratios. 
  • Coordinate with Founders and Executive Team to prioritize efforts for marketing that lie within the companys goal and objectives framework. 
  • Support other teams in efforts that require external communications. 
  • Coordinate asset creation with internal team members and approved external partners to maintain Sweaters high brand standards. 
  • Oversee paid media efforts across facebook, Instagram, and other channels as prioritized and set forth in planning efforts. 
  • Strategize/execute top of funnel strategies that fall outside of direct paid media, such as events. 
  • Organize long term nurturing drips to carry prospective Sweater Members down a journey where they can maintain and heighten their interest over time. 
  • Maintain brand standards as set forth by Sweaters Brand Council. 
  • Formulate the prioritization of educational assets that will build trust and understanding from current and prospective Members. 
  • Run website and landing page strategies to achieve the nurturing, PR, and acquisition efforts set forth by the team. 
  • Pick up the ball and run with other long-term or ad-hoc efforts as determined mutually with the executive team. 

 Skills and qualifications were looking for:

  • A strong belief that everyone has a place in venture ecosystem 
  • 5-10 years of experience in tactical marketing efforts across digital channels
  • Exposure to experiential marketing tactics such as events. 
  • Direct experience building and managing email nurturing campaigns using Hubspot email sequencing best practices. 
  • High level management of PR workflows, content creation cycles, foundational SEO efforts, landing page creation and management, and metrics tracking and evaluation. 
  • Experience with setting and tracking multi-faceted budgets across channels and timeframes, tied back to lifetime LTV/CAC management. 

 Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a venture-backed company. 
  • Familiarity with the product development lifecycle. 
  • Basic visual design skills

Compensation range: $120K - $190K in Boulder & most US based remote locations + equity options. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience.
