Project Coordinator - Fire Truck Manufacturing

Seeking energetic, self-motivated, organized individual to serve in a team of 4 people responsible for managing custom fire apparatus builds through the production process. Please see details below.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

• Serves as liaison between multiple functional groups (Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer)
• Works with the customer from the time of sales hand-off through apparatus delivery
• Schedules and conducts pre-construction meetings with customers and dealers; creates and distributes pre-construction package prior to meeting
• Creates/maintains two-dimensional (CAD) drawing of apparatus
• Creates/maintains shop order and customer change order following pre-construction meeting
• Compiles and distributes additional documentation as required by production
• Coordinates shop order review meetings
• Participates in production planning meetings
• Manages multiple concurrent projects through the manufacturing process

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:
• Associate Degree in Fire Science, Drafting, or related discipline, OR
• Equivalent (5 years) work/volunteer experience in firefighting, drafting, and/or project management

Desired:
• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in managing customer interactions
