Job Description

Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA a nation wide leader in powering safe, autonomous driving solutions. We currently have openings for Engineering Technicians based in Santa Clara, CA. The schedule for this role is Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm and is a long-term contract with the opportunity for full time employment.

The responsibility of the Engineering Technician is to provide support for the Autonomous Vehicle team. As an engineering technician you will be working under the supervision of senior engineers responsible for developing and maintaining hardware systems to drive the car. You will work with different teams, including electrical, mechanical, software engineering, and QA to transform the information into driving the car with the best experience. You will help build, test, and maintain the system and make it work flawlessly and safely on our driving platform. You are expected to have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Previous hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and updating autonomous vehicle hardware is a requirement. Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor suite hardware and automotive mechanical and electrical systems is highly valued.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build, prototype, assemble, configure, and test autonomous development systems
  • Integrate systems into vehicle platforms and debug, maintain them

What we need to see:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on proven experience in electrical/electronics and vehicles and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas
  • Must possess a good technical problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude mindset
  • Completion of Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience
  • knowledge with building a PC, Software, Programing, and IT experience
  • Current valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Must be able to Travel - US and Internationally

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Diagnosis expertise for on-the-spot resolution to end-user concerns is needed
  • Basic computer, customer service, problem-solving and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required
  • High proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting of electrical / electronic systems
  • Background in electronic components, automotive industry, and equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of test equipment including the use of instruments for diagnostic purposes
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-quality performance
  • ASE or MECP certification preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge and experience using Windows or Linux operating systems
