Sr Software Developer Engineer In Test, SDET 100% remote, long term 1099 contract

We are looking for an experienced, Senior SDET “Software Developer Engineer In Test” for a long term, 100% remote 1099 contract.  

The Sr. SDET will be a Quality Engineer with a quality mindset and technical skills, primarily focused on developing automation code for API, UI and integration tests to work on key, visible and strategic projects.

Must be a US Citizen.  No C2C’s please.

Position Description

·      Leading an agile team with multiple developers, SDETs, an architect, a product owner and a scrum master towards high quality standards.

·      Be part of a multi-year/multi-team project to build an AWS web application with a ReactJS frontend, Spring framework microservices (REST APIs) backend, and MySQL database

·      Sr. SDETs will be responsible for owning the testing of a user story (including manual & automated testing) and perform in-sprint automation using Robot Framework, as well as collaborating on Slack with the other SDETs to review overnight regression test failures (if any)

·      Sr. SDET will be responsible for choosing and updating framework to meet the product requirements.

·      Sr. SDET will be responsible for developing/modifying Quality standards, process, libraries so that we can re-use/re-utilize developed intellectual property.

·      Leading Quality discussions in standard 2-week sprints (daily standups, weekly refinements, bi-weekly sprint demos and retros)

Required:

·      8+ years of hands-on testing and automation experience for both UI and API with Selenium WebDriver or similar (i.e. Robot Framework, Cypress, Cucumber etc.) and/or software development experience in any language (i.e. Python, Java)

·      AWS or similar Cloud experience

·      4+ years of hands-on SQL database experience (i.e. insert/update statements for data setup, delete/update statements for data teardown, select statements with simple joins for data verification)

·      4+ years of working with cloud monitoring tools such as Datadog, Kibana, Splunk, CloudWatch

·      2+ years of hands-on testing of SOAP and REST APIs (i.e. verifying HTTP status code and JSON response body); bonus if experience includes automation

·      4+ years of CI/CD pipeline experience (i.e. setting automation suite in deployment pipeline, constantly tweaking for optimal value and developing user friendly test reports)

·      5+ years of experience working on an agile team

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
 

Preferred Skills

·      Experience in shift left testing is a plus

·      Experience with JMeter or any performance tool is a plus

·      Telecom industry experience is a plus

·      Comfortable working on a Mac or other Unix-based OS

·      Experience in testing big data and reporting is a plus
