Job Description

The Product Analyst is a data-driven voice for the user. Along with UX and Engineering leads, the Product Analyst is a close teammate of the Product Manager in helping develop incredible software products. You are the quantitative guardian - leading the Product organization in making fact-based decisions. You will dive deeply into product usage data and use your business acumen to make recommendations that shape the future of SupplyPike's products.

As SupplyPike rapidly grows, this role has very high growth potential to become a leader within the Product organization. We are looking for a master of the craft who has strong convictions and is ready to own their space.

tl;dr - The Product Analyst is a key member of the Product team that understands how the product is used at a deep, factual level. They combine strong data analysis skills with business acumen to understand trends and make product recommendations. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Embody the ethos of product data analysis; champion the tracking of meaningful metrics, mine insights, help Product Managers test and validate hypotheses, and demonstrate how our products are solving real problems (or where they're falling short!)
  • Be a key influencer of what gets built next through presentation of data-based recommendations
  • Work closely with product and engineering to make sure we collect the right data to produce relevant business insights
  • Standardize SupplyPike's product data processes; define and police best practices
  • Apply product vision to data-driven insights to identify actions that will help move key metrics
  • Help us measure and drive adoption and engagement of the product, down to individual features
  • Create data visualizations to communicate insights to management, the product teams, prospects, and customers.
  • Raise the bar for data analytics in Product by providing craft guidance, championing best practices and ensuring the correct tools are utilized

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • B.S or M.S degree in related field or relevant certification
  • Very high proficiency in manipulating and analyzing data and providing insights to stakeholders
  • Strong experience with software insights platforms and data visualization tools
  • Preferred: At least 3 years in a data analysis-related role for software, playing a key role in data gathering, data analysis and helping the team make fact-based decisions
  • Hands-on experience with SQL; MongoDB is a plus
  • High level of ownership and personal responsibility
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and organized
  • Better than average communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience in retail supply chain, finance, or transportation is a plus
  • Experience working with a SaaS solutions provider is a plus
